Poetry is a gateway to deeper connection. We are all continuously processing and going through things in our lives, sometimes it's joyous, other times it can be more difficult. Words can act as a medicine that brings to light certain wisdom and perspectives that can be helpful along the human journey. The key is listening. I know you love your community, and my job is to provide a space for them to communicate what's important to them, what's on their heart, or what would make them laugh. The process can be quite therapeutic, and I've dried many tears after a good poem and performance, much like a musician, my goal is to help others feel. Each piece is a unique work of art, and people sometimes tell me where they have their poem proudly displayed, years later. The average length of time to write a poem is 5 minutes, and I perform the poem when the client returns (which can be captured on video).
